Smoketoberfest is South Baltimore's premier annual barbecue and neighborhood pitmaster showdown.

Started in 2017 by two neighborhood dads—Brendan O’Brien and Dan Anderson—with a love and passion for smoking briskets and bringing together neighbors and friends, Smoketoberfest has grown to feature nearly 20 unique pitmasters, flavors, and styles from around the world.

Each year participants compete for Smoketoberfest bragging rights, the prestigious Golden Brisket Pig awarded for “Best Brisket” judged by a panel of local experts, and fan favorite votes.

The mission of Smoketoberfest is to create a fun and festive atmosphere where neighbors and friends can come together to enjoy amazing barbecue, live music, and community.
